Copyright Statement GENERAL All written content (including the text of M.A. Jinnah’s speeches, letters and articles), photographs, audio files and footage published at jinnaharchive.com are the property of the Jinnah Archive unless stated otherwise. The database created for the purposes of searching Jinnah’s works at jinnaharchive.com is also the property of the Jinnah Archive. s The Jinnah Archive reserves the right to modify this statement at any time without notice. If you are unsure about any aspect of this statement please contact us. PERMITTED USE OF THE JINNAH ARCHIVE The Jinnah Archive has been created for promoting the life work of Quaid-i-Azam M.A. Jinnah worldwide and for this reason we do not place excessive restrictions on its use. However the following conditions apply: Use of text The original speeches and letters of M.A. Jinnah are in the public domain in the UK and in Pakistan (the law may differ for visitors from other countries), but the Jinnah Archive owns the copyright of the texts as published on jinnaharchive.com by virtue of their having been edited and compiled by the Archive. Nevertheless any individual or organisation from anywhere in the world is free to copy any part of the raw text from the Jinnah Archive for any purpose, as long as the Jinnah Archive is acknowledged as the source. If individuals or organisations wish to copy any part of the Jinnah Archive’s annotations and appendices for commercial purposes, then fees may apply and they must contact the Archive to obtain written permission. Failure to do so will constitute a breach of copyright. Use of photographs Under British law some but not all photographs of Jinnah are in the public domain, regardless of their copyright status in Pakistan. Most photographs which are designated as the property of the Jinnah Archive may be freely used as described above, again as long as the Jinnah Archive is acknowledged as the source. All of our free-use photographs are available here. However some of the Archive’s photographs are copyright protected (usually because they are stills taken from our footage) and these have all been clearly labelled. These photographs, along with any photograph for which a person or organisation (other than the Jinnah Archive) is listed as the copyright holder may not be used for any purpose without written permission. Fees may apply. Footage and audio All digitised footage and audio files (unless stated otherwise) are the property of the Jinnah Archive and may not be downloaded or otherwise copied or re-recorded for any purpose without written permission from the Archive (or the original copyright owners, where applicable). Fees apply.
